ALl-New 2024 Mazda CX-90 Teased Ahead Debut

The teaser campaign for the 2024 Mazda CX-90 is coming to a close as the company has released two new videos, ahead of the crossover’s unveiling on January 12th.

While the latest clips don’t reveal anything besides the name and date, one of them gives us a nice stroll down memory lane as it shows a garage filled with classic cars that appear to include the original Cosmo and Miata.

That’s slightly disappointing, but Mazda has already teased the CX-90 on multiple occasions. Back in November, the company teased a front fender vent with badging confirming the crossover will have an inline-six engine. At the time, the company said the model would be built on an all-new platform, and be a flagship vehicle that is longer and wider than anything else in the company’s lineup.

Mazda went on to say the crossover will embrace their Kodo design philosophy and have more aggressive proportions than we’re used to. The automaker went on to say the CX-90 will have a bold and dynamic design as well as an all-new premium paint color known as Artisan Red.

Mazda followed up with a second teaser in December showing a slender taillight. More importantly, the teaser confirmed the model will be offered as a plug-in hybrid with a powertrain “tuned specifically for the North American market.” The company didn’t elaborate, but said the system will provide customers with the “best of both worlds in terms of performance and efficiency.”

We’ll learn full details shortly, but it’s shaping up to be a busy week for Mazda as the company will also unveil an MX-30 with a rotary engine at the Brussels Motor Show on January 13th.
