The United States tops the leaderboard with 24 gold, 31 silver, and 31 bronze medals. On the 11th day of the competition, from Tuesday, August 6, to early Wednesday, August 7, the U.S. added three more gold medals to its tally.

These golds were won by Amit Elor in the women's freestyle wrestling 68kg category, Cole Hocker in the men's 1500m track event, and Gabrielle Thomas in the women's 200m track event.

Gabrielle Thomas's victory was particularly notable, as it marked a significant moment in Olympic history. For the first time since 1976, no Jamaican athlete secured a medal in the women's 200m event, breaking Jamaica's streak of gold medals in this category over the last two Olympic Games.
