6,676 Audi e-Tron GT and Porsche Taycan vehicles are being recalled due to a potential fire risk caused by a battery issue. This recall includes 1,899 Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT models, as well as 4,777 Porsche Taycan vehicles.
The problem is related to the possibility of water entering the interior of the battery, which could lead to an arc and subsequently a thermal event that could result in a fire. Both companies will inspect each vehicle, and if necessary, they will replace the battery pack. According to the two German automakers, this issue affects 3% of the 6,676 recalled vehicles.
