vivo is expanding its T2 series lineup, which currently includes two smartphones – the T2 and T2x. The lineup is set to grow to three with the upcoming launch of the vivo T2 Pro in India, scheduled for September 22 at noon local time.
The vivo T2 Pro is being promoted as the “Performance Pioneer,” promising a combination of exceptional performance and stylish aesthetics. The teaser image released by vivo showcases a curved display with a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. On the back, the phone features a dual-camera setup accompanied by a circular ring flash known as Aura Light.
Interestingly, the design of the vivo T2 Pro bears a resemblance to the recently released iQOO Z7 Pro, which is currently available in India. There are also rumors suggesting that the vivo T2 Pro may share the same Dimensity 7200 SoC as the iQOO Z7 Pro.
The iQOO Z7 Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 7200 chipset, a 6.78-inch 120Hz FullHD+ curved AMOLED display, and runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. It boasts a 4,600 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, offering configurations with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Its camera setup includes a 64MP primary camera (with OIS and EIS), a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera. Additionally, the smartphone carries an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance.
As we approach the T2 Pro’s launch date, more details are likely to surface from vivo. In the meantime, you can take a look at camera samples from the iQOO Z7 Pro, which were captured when the smartphone was initially reviewed last month.
