New Mercedes V-Class, Vito and EQV Facelift Teased Prior Debut This Summer

Mercedes Vans made an exciting announcement today, unveiling their plans for the future of their lineup.

Alongside the upcoming VAN.EA platform, set to launch as a fully electric option in 2026, Mercedes Vans revealed that their existing midsize van models will undergo updates in the summer of 2023.

The refreshed V-Class, Vito, EQV, and eVito models will receive a host of visual and technological enhancements, designed to make them more appealing to both commercial and private customers.

Teasing the updates, Mercedes Vans released a single image believed to be the front end of the updated Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Notable changes include a larger grille, accompanied by redesigned LED headlights, and a new front bumper with AMG-style intakes.

These alterations give the van a sleeker, more stylish appearance that aligns with Mercedes’ passenger vehicle lineup.

Additionally, the duo-tone treatment adds a touch of Maybach luxury to the mix.

Spy photographers caught glimpses of the facelifted vans nearly a year ago, although they were heavily camouflaged. However, they managed to capture images of the new digital cockpit featuring dual screens mounted in a single panel.

Mercedes has confirmed that the revamped interiors of the updated V-Class, Marco Polo, Vito, and EQV will showcase the latest MBUX infotainment system.

The passenger-oriented V-Class and EQV will have a stronger focus on luxury, while the commercial Vito and eVito will also offer “premium quality” along with new digital services and safety features.

Mercedes’ updated midsize van range will continue to provide customers with a choice between traditional combustion engines (V-Class / Vito) and fully electric powertrains (EQV / eVito).

However, these updates mark the beginning of the end for internal combustion engines in Mercedes’ van lineup.

The future VAN.EA-based vans will exclusively be available in electric form, as the brand shifts its focus toward sustainable mobility.

With these exciting updates on the horizon, Mercedes Vans is poised to offer a versatile and eco-friendly range of midsize vans that cater to various customer needs, whether for personal or commercial use.

The enhancements in design, technology, and sustainability further solidify Mercedes’ commitment to providing innovative and high-quality vehicles in the van segment.
