Genesis surpassed 1 million sales worldwide in just 8 years

Genesis announced today that it has surpassed 1 million sales worldwide, achieving a significant milestone for the brand. Specifically, as of the end of August 2023, the premium Korean company reported selling 1,008,804 vehicles in the markets where it operates globally, including 690,177 in Korea and 318,627 internationally.

Genesis reached this milestone in less than eight years since its founding in November 2015, and just two years and three months after surpassing the half-million mark in May 2021.

Starting with the launch of the G90, Genesis subsequently released the G70, G80, GV70, and GV80. By 2020, the brand achieved a significant milestone, with its first global annual sales exceeding 100,000 units, totaling 132,450 sales.

With 201,415 units sold in 2021 and 215,128 units in 2022, Genesis has demonstrated impressive growth, as it has achieved record sales of 154,035 vehicles by the end of August of the current year.

The G80 is the brand’s best-selling model since its launch in 2016, with 390,738 units sold. Genesis’ first SUV, the GV80, and its first midsize SUV, the GV70, have recorded cumulative sales of 173,882 and 160,965 units, respectively, worldwide.
