Local 61 To Donate Equipment To Charleston Firefighters

The International Association of Firefighters local 61 will present donated lifesaving equipment to Charleston Fire Department Fire Chief Tom Carr tomorrow at 1:00pm at the Charleston Fire Department, Coming Street Station, 162 Coming Street .

The local purchased the equipment from funds raised during the first annual Charleston Nine Memorial Run in June 2009. Chief Tom Carr, Local IAFF President Bill Haigler and Union representatives will be on hand to provide remarks and the City of Charleston Firefighters will demonstrate the donated equipment by presenting an interactive demonstration.
